A free Family Fun Day and Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the East Hill School in Canajoharie, rain or shine. Several fire departments will have apparatus on display.

Location: Canajoharie Youth Center, 9 Erie Blvd.

The Canajoharie Youth Center, (CYC), will be having a community donation drive to help raise funds to make necessary repairs to the CYC roof. Kinderhook Bank will be matching donations up to $2,500 and the CYC will also be open for the public to tour to see what opportunities it offers the youth of the community. The board of the CYC, as well as volunteers, will be available at the center taking donations as well as some will be out on foot in the community going door to door to collect donations from those that are unable to make it to the center. The CYC has grown in the recent years to accommodate more children and offer more services to the youth of the Canajoharie area and this will be a major fundraising event for the CYC.

The Jordanville Federated Church is ending its final in the series of "Literary Teas," in the Social Hall of the church at 209 Main Street, Jordanville. Come enjoy an afternoon of a traditional High Tea (three courses) and readings of short stories. Foolishness is the usual theme for this tea with our annual visit to the Tales from Le Roy, New York, by Lynne Belluscio. The two Steve Pauls will be honoring the passing of author Patrick McManus reading his stories: "Silent But Deadly" and "The Night the Bear Ate Goombaw". All are encouraged to attend. Please call 315-866-3353 or 315-858-2798 to let us know you are coming so we know how many pots of tea and tables to have ready. A free will offering will be taken and divided between the church and the Jordanville Public Library. (Suggested donation of $9.00.) A new series of “Literary Teas” will commence October 26.
