The Montgomery County SPCA will hold its annual Garage Sale to benefit the homeless pets of the MCSPCA Animal Shelter. The new location for this year’s sale is 10 Columbia Street in Amsterdam. A wide variety of new and gently-used items will be available. Seasonal items, furniture, jewelry, household items, small appliances, decorative items, entertainment items and much more will be offered for sale. Donations of urgently-needed items for the animal shelter will also be collected during the garage sale. These items include Purina Dry Cat Chow, clay cat litter, unscented bleach and laundry detergent. In addition, tickets will be available to the quilt raffle. A memorial ride for Mikayla MacVilla will meet at the Dog House, 409 South Main Street in Gloversville at 11am, ride starts at Noon with a stop in St. Johnsville, then back to the Dog House. Any donations will benefit the local domestic violence shelter.
The first annual Ride For Jacob will begin at Noon behind Joan’s Diner on Oneida Street in Chadwicks. Jacob is just 8 years old and will be starting radiation soon for a brain tumor.
