The Leonardsville Fire Department is having a Donation Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Hall on Mill Street. Pancakes with real maple syrup, eggs, bacon, sausage, applesauce and beverages. Takeouts available by calling 315-855-4466.
The fair is celebrating its 21st year. We have psychic readers, tarot, astrology, palmistry, mediums, reiki, and massage. The vendors offer gems, jewelry, oils, wood carvings, and crystals.
The Mike Cole Memorial Golf Tournament will be help at the Canajoharie Golf & Country Club. $40 per player (2 firemen and 2 non members per team); $55 per player for non-fireman on a team. Includes 18 holes of golf, cart, dinner, and drawings. RSVP by September 5th.
The End of Summer Bash is a benefit for the EL Clonan Post 1000, 3454 Oneida Street in Chadwicks, Music by Stage Road and Matt Grainger, food, basket raffles, 50/50, and face painting. Admission just $5, kids under 5 free.
The Charleston Historical Society will be hosting a program titled “History of the Amsterdam Trolleys.” The program will feature guest speaker, author Jerry Snyder. Jerry was born in Amsterdam, N.Y. and attended Wilbur Lynch High School. He graduated from Union College in Schenectady with a BS-ME degree in 1976. He worked as a Technical Service Engineer for Ingersoll-Rand in Elmira. In 1979, he moved back to Amsterdam and worked for General Electric in Schenectady. He worked there as Senior Project Engineer and Engineering Supervisor until he retired in 2014. Jerry always had an interest in the history of the area, particularly the industrial and infrastructure (canals, railroads, bridges, etc.).

The Salisbury Ridge Runners presents the Fuccillo 500 Snowmobile Grass Drags. The event occurs on Saturday 9/14/2019 and Sunday 9/15/2019. Racer registration is from 7am to 10am on both daysDriver's Meeting begins at 10:30am on both daysRacing Starts at 11 am on both days. There will be over 20 Pro and Amateur Classes. Pro Classes will run on Saturday and Sunday. There is $10,000 in bonus money for the Pro Classes. Amateur will run on Sunday ONLY, there will be trophies presented for the 1st and 2nd place racers. All participants have the ability to pre-register online at www.salisburyridgerunners.com. The Kitty Kay classes will start off the day Sunday morning at 11am. The cost of the event is $10.00 for Spectators each day and the Racer fee is $30.00 for the weekend. We will be raffling off tickets for the 2019 Cash Grass 500. There will only be 300 tickets sold and the cost per ticket is $50.00. The drawing will be held on Sunday 9/15/2019 at 2pm. The grand prize is $3,000.00. In addition to racing, there will be vendors, a swap meet, food and drink and FREE parking.
