So join us on this special day whether it is to play, cheer on your favorite team or just sit back and enjoy something from our concession stand. Family friendly with music, 50/50 and basket raffles too. All proceeds raised, donated to local suicide prevention charities. “Stand up to the stigma. Let’s talk about mental health.”

The American Cancer Society is teaming up with Mohawk Valley Health System and the Utica Blue Sox baseball club to raise funds and show support for local breast cancer survivors during their ‘Pink the Park’ game, as the ballclub takes on the Geneva Red Wings at 6:45 PM at Murnane Field. The Utica Blue Sox players will be wearing special pink-themed uniforms, which are sponsored by Mohawk Valley Health System. Those jerseys will be auctioned off during the game. Fans can bid on their favorite players’ jersey before the game by visiting the Utica Blue Sox website at www.uticabluesox.net or at the ballpark the night of the game. Bidding begins at $50 per jersey. The winning bidder will receive the jersey and a photo with the player after the game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game, as well. Local cancer survivors are admitted to the game for free. Special recognition will also be made to cancer survivors before the game. The first 100 fans to attend will receive a free breast cancer awareness bracelet or lapel pin.
