A free program on "President Lincoln Trains Through New York State" will be given by Joseph Collea, Jr. at the Herkimer County Historical Society, in their Eckler Building, 406 N. Main Street, Herkimer. Collea will talk about his new book "New York and the Lincoln Specials" on the two Lincoln trains that traveled through our area, his pre-inaugural railway tour and his second ending with a funeral train. Each was a 5-day crossing of New York State. After nearly 50 years in public education as a teacher and administrator, Collea is now retired and living in Scotia, NY.
