Rome Catholic School is holding their Annual Christmas Craft Fair at MVCC in Rome on December 1st from 10 am to 4 pm and on December 2nd from 10 am to 3 pm. In addition to 102 vendor tables, we will be offering: Pictures with Santa both days ($3 donation for electronic copy; $5 for hardcopy) Raffle table with more than 100 items (25 tickets for $5 plus a chance to win the $100 lottery ticket basket door prize) 50/50 Raffle Bake Sale Kids Korner (Crafts and activities to entertain the kids while you shop.) We look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s event!
The Montgomery County SPCA will hold its 11th Annual Holiday Pet Portraits in the Amsterdam Riverfront Center in downtown Amsterdam. A $25 donation includes 3 printed photos and a holiday photo frame, or, for $30, you will receive a CD with all your digital images. Holiday photos of your pet can be taken by itself, with Santa or with the whole family. Also welcome are individuals and families without pets. All dogs must be leashed and all smaller animals (cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, etc.) must be caged while in the Riverfront Center (except during the photo session). The event will also include a MCSPCA Holiday Bake Shop. The MCSPCA also will have gift certificates for sale for holiday giving, which may be used towards a pet adoption, the PAL cat spay/neuter program, microchips and nail-clipping. All proceeds from this annual holiday event directly benefit the homeless pets at the Montgomery County SPCA Animal Shelter this holiday season. The Mayfield Historical Society's 27th Annual Christmas Open House at The Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Road in Mayfield. Visitors will step back in time to an old-fashioned Christmas with hot mulled cider and cookies, music in the Victorian Parlor, lovely seasonal decorations, its famous homemade pie sale, tours of the home, and weaving and spinning demonstrations. A Bus Trip to New York City is being sponsored by the Herkimer County Historical Society, departing from Herkimer. The bus will drop people off at Bryant Park for a day on your own.
