Herkimer County Habitat for Humanity will be having a “Big
Breakfast Buffet” at the
Herkimer VFW on Mohawk Street. Eggs, French toast,
sausages, home fries and more with beverages at a
cost of $8 for adults, $5 for the kids.
The Dolgeville United Methodist Church, 21 North Helmer
Ave, will be holding a “Huge Spring Rummage Sale” .
You’ll find both new and used items including clothing,
books, jewelry, dishes and much more. On Saturday there
will also be a bake sale.
The Otsego County Historical Association and the Springfield Historical Society have teamed up once again to offer Partners In Preservation. The event will be held at the Springfield Historical Society in the Springfield Community Center on County Route 29A, Springfield Center (turn off State Route 80 near the fire department). In an effort to demonstrate how each is working to educate and promote history in their area, historical groups and municipal historians will staff table displays, sell books on local history and offer memberships to interested individuals. A representative from the Cooperstown Graduate Program, Peyton Tracy, will give a presentation on "Creating Exciting Exhibits." Partners in Preservation is free and open to the public. Beverages and light refreshments will be available.
There’s a Recruitment Open House at the Dolgeville Fire Department, 20 South Helmer Avenue, Dolgeville. It's for the fire department to recruit new members, plus everyone can check out the truck, equipment, talk to volunteer firemen, and see demonstrations along with education on fire prevention. AND they’re having a chicken barbecue!
4 Pet Sake Food Pantry is having their annual “Spay-ghetti” dinner at the American Legion, Main Street in Mohawk. Adults $8; kids $6; under 5 free. Eat in or take out. Basket raffles & 50-50, too! Benefits the spay-neuter program. Meet Dora, Diego, and Boots!
