The entire upstate New York region was touched by the recent tragic limousine accident in Schoharie and a fundraiser is taking place to raise college money for the children who lost their parents. The fundraiser is at the Amsterdam WalMart on Route 30. There’s a bake sale, silent auction, hamburgers, hot dogs, candy apples and beverages. Free pumpkins for every donation. All donations welcome and great appreciated.
Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter is having their annual BIG Chinese Auction at the Canajoharie Fire House. Doors open at 11, drawings begin at 2. Donations welcome. Food available plus raffles.
The Charleston Historical Society will be hosting a Harvest Dinner Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Charleston Historical Society, at the Charleston Historical Society’s Headquarters. We are serving a Harvest Stew Dinner that will include entrée, homemade breads, beverage and dessert. Seating is limited, therefore, reservations are needed. During the dinner trustees and members are welcome to share their memories of programs and events held at the headquarters during the last 40 years. Follow NYS Route 30A south outside of Fultonville to the Town of Charleston. Take a right off of Route 30A onto Polin Road to the Charleston Historical Society’s headquarters.
