Herkimer County Historical Society Fundraiser

From 6:00PM to n/a

The Herkimer County Historical Society is having a Fundraising Dinner Event with Linda Ruth Tosetti, granddaughter of Baseball Legend Babe Ruth, at Francesca’s Banquet Hall in Ilion. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for a Meet and Greet, followed by Dinner at 6:00 p.m. and a Program with Linda as the guest speaker. Jason Powles, WKTV News Anchor, will be our evening’s emcee and a representative from the Baseball Hall of Fame will be in attendance. Tickets are $35.00/person and can be purchased ahead of time from the Herkimer County Historical Society, 406 N. Main St., Herkimer, open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.  Linda lectures on the life of her legendary grandfather at schools and universities and has been a guest speaker at The Society of America Baseball Research, the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Babe Ruth Museum, just to name a few. She has been a contributor to Fox Channel News, ESPN, Chicago Sun-Times, New York Times, Boston Globe, Washington Times and has been an honored guest at Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park and various important sporting venues. Her striking resemblance to her grandfather shows she is a direct descendant through her mother, Dorothy Ruth Pirone, Babe Ruth’s only biological daughter. It is a goal of Ms. Tosetti to see Major League Baseball retire her grandfather’s number 3.
