Governor Andrew Cuomo has directed that flags on all state and government buildings be flown at half-staff today. The half-staff flags are in honor of the 16 military members who were killed on July 10th in Mississipi, when their aircraft crashed. It was assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452.
It was assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452. Fifteen Marines and one Navy Sailor were killed in the crash. Nine Marines were based out of Newburgh, New York and the other six, plus Navy Sailor were based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
