Steven Mancuso Pleads Guilty to Code Violations in Relation to Tearing Down the Former Hollyrock Building

The owner of the former Hollyrock building on Utica’s Varick street pleaded guilty to several codes violations in Utica City Court yesterday.

Steven Mancuso says he tore down the Greek revival building after getting a letter from the city condemning it, but before he got a 2nd letter telling him he needed special permission from the city’s Historic Preservation Commission. Mancuso got a $1000 fine and one-year conditional discharge.
