Vernon Man Suffers 1st-Degree Burns After Propane Tank Explodes

A man suffered 1st-degree burns Monday while trying to light a pilot on a propane-powered stove in a cabin in Vernon. The Vernon Fire Chief says there was a leak in the propane line, which caused an explosion that blew out a wall of the cabin.

The fire chief says the victim was treated at the scene and declined further treatment…and that the cabin will likely have to be demolished.
