Women Charged in Olbiston Animal Hoarding in Court

The two women charged in the Olbiston Apartment animal hoarding cases were in court yesterday.

Each of the women pleaded not guilty. Forty-four Chihuahuas were removed from the apartment rented by Lila Walker. She was allowed to keep one of the dogs as a companion animal. After the dogs were removed, Karen Purdy tried to conceal her 28 cats in Walker’s apartment. They were discovered and removed.

Both women are scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
