Average Age of Local Coronavirus Cases Drops to 43 Years Old

UTICA – Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente says the average age of those testing positive for the Coronavirus has dropped to 43 years old – the lowest it’s ever been since the pandemic started.

Picente says 37 percent of the cases in the county are people 18 to 44 years old, which those hospitalized currently aged between 40 to 71.

The county is currently reporting 20 new cases, with many recent new cases linked to local residents who were working at an aluminum manufacturing plant in nearby Montgomery County.
