ONEONTA – There are now more than 170 SUNY Oneonta students who have the Coronavirus, and the cluster is causing Otsego County’s daily new cases to explode.
The county is currently reporting 85 new cases, with 83 being SUNY Oneonta students.
Meanwhile, three new cases have been reported in Oneida county, and one new case has been reported in Herkimer County, along with two COVID-related deaths there.
The state is opening three rapid-result test sites in Oneonta, starting Wednesday.
Those sites are the Oneonta Armory, the Foothills Performing Arts and Civic Center, and St. James Church.
