WHITESBORO – Today marks the 35th anniversary of the murder of 16-year-old Kimberly Simon.
This afternoon at 1:30 pm, her friends and family will gather where her body was found along Mohawk Street in Marcy for a press conference to talk about what they’re doing to bring her killer to justice.
One thing you might have seen already: ‘Who Killed Kim Simon?’ signs all around town.
Simon’s killer or killers have remained free after Steven Barnes was wrongfully convicted in her rape and murder, and served nearly 20 years in prison. He was released in 2008 after the Innocence Project proved the DNA found on Simon’s body did not belong to Barnes.
