Meeting Today to Decide Future of New Forest Cemetery

UTICA – Today’s the day New Forest Cemetery officials meet with plot holders and reps from the State Division of Cemeteries.

New Forest has suffered a loss of board members and has been having a hard time maintaining the cemetery, and they say they’re having serious financial troubles, as well.

Tonight, those plot holders are expected to vote either for abandonment, or, to try to reorganize with a new board.

If you’re interested in the future of New Forest, you’re invited to a meeting at 5 p.m. today in Hanna Park outside Utica City Hall.
