Powerful Thunderstorms Left Nearly 10,000 People Without Power

Those powerful thunderstorms left nearly 10,000 people across the region without power for hours, Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Power wasn’t expected to be restored to some until 4:00 this morning.

More than 5400 in Herkimer county, were without power, more than 3000 in Oneida county and more than 900 in Otsego county.

National grid expected power to be restored by 9pm in Herkimer county, 7pm in Otsego county and 4 o’clock this morning, in Oneida county.
