UPD: Same Man Leads Police on 2nd Car Chase after Release without Bail

UTICA – Utica police say the same man has led police on two high-speed car pursuits in excess of 100 mph, in less than 48 hours.

They say Alexander Walker, of Utica, struck two police cruisers trying to escape police on Sunday, and that he led them on another chase around 5 pm Tuesday when Utica police tried to stop a stolen car.

Walker, who allegedly was driving the second car as well, took off.

Police issued Walker more than 40 traffic tickets Sunday, and more than 20 on Tuesday, but officers expressed their frustration when Walker was released both times, due to bail reform laws.
