Utica to Honor 9/11 First Responder Victims in Private Ceremony

UTICA – A very different ceremony this morning, to remember those killed in the 9/11 terror attacks 19 years ago today.

At 10 am this morning, the names of first responders who heroically died will be read, during a ceremony at the Firefighter’s and Police Memorial on Utica’s Memorial Parkway, but the event is closed to the public.

The Veterans Outreach Center in Utica is also holding a 9/11 Day of Service to remember the victims of the terror attacks 19 years ago today.

Community members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, personal care items and cleaning supplies to the Veterans Outreach at 726 Washington St. from 10 am to 1 pm. It’s a no-contact, drop-off.
