After Saturday’s ‘foolish’ shooting at Sangertown Mall and quick arrest, New Hartford Police Chief Ron Fontaine urged the public to not live in a state of fear. The Chief assured the community that significant surveillance, monitoring technology and police presence at the mall and nearby businesses make it likely that anyone who commits a violent act or crime in the area will be caught, so hopefully it makes them think twice about doing anything wrong.
